Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has made several key appointments due to the absence of Dr. Baffa Bichi, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), who is on a medical trip. Alhaji Abdullahi Musa has been appointed as the acting SSG until Dr. Bichi's return from treatment in Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, there have been promotions within the administration. Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the official spokesperson, has been elevated to the position of Director General, Media and Publicity. Alongside these appointments, various other political officeholders have been assigned to different posts.

The newly appointed officials include Rabi’u Saleh Gwarzo as the Permanent Commissioner I SUBEB, Sarki Ahmad as the Director General of Rural Access and Mobility Project, and Surajo Imam Dala as the Director General of Cottage Trade and Street Hawking. Moreover, Dr. Dahiru Saleh Muhammad has been named the Executive Secretary of the Science and Technical Schools Board, Abubakar Adamu Rano as the Deputy Managing Director of Radio Kano, Hajiya Hauwa Isah Ibrahim as the Deputy Managing Director of ARTV, and Dr. Gaddafi Sani Shehu as the Deputy Managing Director of Kano Hydro Electricity Development Company (KHEDCO).

Governor Yusuf extended congratulations to the new appointees and urged them to commence their duties promptly. These appointments aim to ensure the continuity of governance and administration in Kano State during Dr. Bichi's absence.
